Welcome to my teacher site!

What's Next in 2008-2009?
Through our studies, we will embark on a year of exploring, learning, and growing together! There are so many places we will go, so many people we will meet, and oh so many things we will do in fourth grade reading. I hope you take the time to visit this website often. You will be able to find out current units of study, important announcements, and use internet links to learn, learn, learn!

A Little Bit About Me!
I was born in the midwestern city of Peoria, Illinois. I grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago with my mom, older brother Michael, and younger brother Jason.

When I graduated from high school, I chose to go to Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. During a work study program, I had been chosen to work as an assistant in an on campus preschool. I loved it! Shortly after, I officially began my study of elementary education.

After graduating, I moved to Baltimore to become a second grade teacher. Eighteen years later, having taught at every level in grades 1-6, I can still say- I love my job!

Now, I am in my third year of teaching fourth grade reading at CVE! I am married and living with my husband Juan and daughter Ana Christina in Baltimore County. I have two 17 year old teenage step sons (twins), Tony and Ryan who live with us every other weekend.

Some things I enjoy doing are reading , shopping, watching movies, and above all, traveling. My favorite colors are red and green. I especially love red plaid! My favorite food is a big, juicy, medium rare steak with a gigantic pile of mashed potatoes smothered in creamy butter (very midwestern). Last, but not least, my favorite snack is cheddar cheese and crackers with brown mustard on the side! Of course, all of this must be accompanied by a tall glass of milk.

Now you know a little bit about me. I look forward to spending the whole year getting to know you and your family too!
