4th Grade Quarterly Book Projects
Throughout the year, your child will be expected to complete four independent reading projects. One project will be assigned each quarter.
The projects will include a written summary, an oral presentation, and an assigned craft that relates to the story.
Assignment dates, expectations, crafts, and summary formats will be presented in reading class for each quarterly assignment.
Students are expected to read books at a 4th grade level or at their current ability level. All books must be approved by Mrs. Leis.
1st Quarter Book Project: Due October 29th
Genre-Realistic Fiction
Craft- Diorama (shoebox display of a scene from the book)
2nd Quarter Book Project
Genre: Fantasy
Project: You must choose one of the suggested project ideas from your Fantasy Book Project Packet. No specific craft is included this quarter. However, if you would like to create something that is related to your book, you may. Just be sure you have completed all of the requirements for your chosen project first.
There is NO 3rd QUARTER BOOK PROJECT. There will be a final project during the 4th Quarter.
