Classroom Management Plan

So that all students will be successful, the following management plan has been established:
Arrive to class and be seated before the late bell rings.
First Lateness: Warning
Subsequent Lateness:
Contact Parents
Student/Teacher Conference
Detention with Teacher
Excessive Lateness: Referral  
Refrain from eating and drinking in rooms or hallways. Only clear bottles containing water may be carried.
First Offenses:
Student will be asked to stop eating/drinking. Drink containers may be taken by Teacher
Subsequent Offenses:
Contact Parent
Detention
Referral  
Refrain from abusive language and behave in a respectful manner
*Blatant disrespectful behavior will result in the student being referred to their administrator immediately.
First Offense: Warning
Second Offense:
Contact Parent
Student/Teacher Conference
Detention
Subsequent Offenses: Referral

 
Demonstrate academic honesty in test-taking, classwork, and homework assignments.
Each Incident:
Contact Parent
Zero on the Assignment
Referral
 
Cell phones (turned off), Electronic devices (turned off), and Hats must be stored in your bookbag or locker after 7:45 a.m.
Each Offense: Confiscation of Item, which will then be taken to the office.
* Cell phones and Electronic devices will be returned to a parent. Hats will be returned at the administration’s discretion  
Class Truancy
First and Subsequent Offenses: Referral  
Attendance- Deliver to me a signed blue slip within two days of the absence.
5 unexcused absences will result in failure of the classwork/activities portion of your grade (BCPS policy)  
Talking – No talking during demonstrations.
Please raise your hand if you have a question or an answer to provide the class.
First Offense : Verbal warnings
Subsequent Offenses: Continued calling out will result in student/teacher conferences and detention.
 
End of Class Procedures
Students must be sitting at their assigned seat at the end of class with their immediate area cleaned up.

Lavatory and Nurse Visits
Lavatory visits will not be allowed during instructional time. Emergencies Only will be considered. During classwork and activities a green hall pass will be issued to allow travel to the lavatory, office, or nurse. Excessive requests will be denied.  
Clean-up and Storage Areas
Please stay out of all storage areas unless directed there by the instructor.
All students are to participate in a teacher directed clean up of the lab. I will end class. Dismissal of the class will be by the instructor and only after all clean-up activity has ended.
 
Notebooks – A section or a separate notebook containing all notes and handouts is mandatory.
