Dear Parents,
My name is Anne Marie Allison and I am thrilled to be beginning my fourth year as a first grade teacher here at Rodgers Forge. I have a Masters In Teaching from Goucher College and I have taught first and third grade in the county. Additionally, I have worked extensively with children for over 20 years from El Paso,Texas, to Fairfield,Connecticut. Presently, I live in Phoenix, Maryland with my husband, three sons, and two dogs. I am excited to be here at Rodgers Forge and look forward to a wonderful year with this incredible first grade team! |

Hello new first grader! Do you like to explore? Do you love to read? Do you have an exciting summer adventure to share? Next week we will begin our year together and you will have an opportunity to tell me all about yourself. We will begin the year sharing "Me Bags". A "Me Bag " is a bag you bring in from home with some things inside that are important to you that you would like to tell the class about. You might want to include a family photo, a souvenir from your summer vacation, or maybe an example of something you like to collect! Whatever you include, be prepared to tell us why it is important to you. I'll share mine on the first day of school. Next week, one of your first homework assignments will be to bring in your "Me Bag". Our First Grade theme this year is Rain forest/ Safari. I can't wait to meet all of you as we begin our year long adventure together! See you Monday!
