| Homework |
Homework will be assigned Monday-Thursday and should take no more than 20 minutes. If your child has trouble completing the assignment in that time, initial the homework book and leave me a note there. Don't forget to empty the take home folder and initial the homework book each night.
Please review sight words nightly. If your child is having difficulty with this, limit the words to 10 and put a check mark on the cards when read correctly. When you have accumulated 5 checks, replace the card with a new one. You can display the words the child has mastered in a creative way at home: on the fridge or in their rooms (example: on a word tree)!
Your child may come home with a book to read that night for homework. Please listen to your child as they read the book to you. Have them reread the story to help build fluency. Books should be returned to school the next day.
