Welcome to Room 19!
My name is Ms. Schlezes. Welcome to the start of a new year! I will be your child's science, social studies and health teacher. In science this year we will be studying fossils, space, chemistry, and environmental relationships. All students will be taught a STEM Fair Unit and GT students will be completing individual STEM Fair projects. In social studies this year we will be covering the following topics: geography, early Americans, European exploration, and early European settlement. The GT students will have a report component that corresponds with the European settlement unit. In addition to support our social studies unit our students will go on the following field trips: Camp Puh'tok and St. Mary's. We are going to be very busy learning and having fun in my class.
