Mrs. Vaillancourt - 4th Grade
vaillancourt class 09
this page is still being updated for the current year...

Hi! I’m happy to be teaching 4th grade here at Carroll Manor. I became a certified teacher in 1992 after making a career change, and I have earned two masters degrees, the most recent one in reading. I live with my husband, two children (though my daughter is now in college), and two furry felines in the infamous “Hereford Zone.”

Our Schedule:
• Language/Reading
• Special (Monday/Vocal Music; Tuesday/Gym; Wednesday/Art; Thursday/Library; Fri./Exploratory Music)
• Reading/Language
• Social Studies/Science/Health
• Math
Other information:

Reading: Students should read at least 20 minutes nightly and they should always have a book to read in school. This is true even if this is not written as formal homework in the planner.
Math: Students are expected to memorize all of their addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts (0-9). Nightly review of vocabulary and skills in addition to regular homework is also expected.
Planner Use: Please don’t sign your child’s planner until you are certain that all homework assignments are completed. Your signature indicates that you’re aware of particular assignments and that the work is completed to the best of your child’s ability.
Telephone Buddies: Please encourage your child to call another student if they are not sure of a homework assignment.
