I see my role as a school counselor as one of helping children to assess their inner ability to learn and grow academically, emotionally, and socially. Although some of my time is spent in assisting students and families in crisis, I am committed to reach all children by providing a preventative developmental guidance program in all classrooms. My passion has always been working with young children and their families as I usually feel energized by their spontaneity and genius.

Education/ Experience
This is my eleventh year in education, although my fourth year as a school counselor. Prior to counseling I was a fifth grade teacher. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Towson University and a Master of Education degree in School Counseling from Loyola College of Maryland. I also earned my National Certification in Counseling. Currently, I am continuing my education toward obtaining licensure.
