How can I help your child be successful?
My goals in school counseling are:

  • to enable students to experience school success

  • to develop career awareness and decision-making competencies

  • to assist students in understanding and respecting self and others

Classroom Guidance Lessons: Planned, educational groups designed to help students understand and deal with normal developmental tasks and issues.





groups
Small Group Counseling: The counselor works with 4-6 students with a similar need. Some common types of couneling groups include changing families, friendship, anger management, grief or loss, worrying/anxiety and self-esteem. These groups are confidential in nature.

individual
Individual Counseling: The counselor works one-on-one with a student to help them resolve problems and developemental concerns, enhance decision-making skills, and/or build coping skills. This is a confidential relationship and is a short-term limited intervention.
lunch
Social Groups: The counselor hosts various groups such as "Lunch Bunch" and "Welcoming New Students" which allow students to socialize with one another and the counselor without the formal structure and parameters of a formal counseling group.
