Welcome to Music!
At Eastwood, students at all grade levels attend general music classes once per week, where they learn the basics of music reading, composing, and enjoy singing.
At Eastwood and Sussex, I am responsible for the Instrumental Music Program. Fourth grade students participate in an Exploratory Music class which meets once a week. In this class, we learn about the instruments of the orchestra. We also learn basic skills to play the trumpet, the clarinet, and the violin.
Eastwood and Sussex fifth grade students have the opportunity to choose an instrument to learn. Musicians meet for a lesson once a week for about thirty minutes. The schedule rotates so that students do not miss the same time block every week. To find out about lesson times, click on the correct link to your left.
