For the new year... |
I would like to welcome back the third grade.
This year...
We will be having reading, spelling, and math homework every night. Our new reading program includes take home books to read. These books are to be returned everyday so that your child may recieve a different one. Allow them to read the book to you, a sibling, a neighbor, even a pet. The more a child reads, the better they become.
If your child does not complete homework, then they will do so during recess. |
Curriculum |
We have completed the first Theme in Reading and are studying Family Traditions. If your family has a tradition that you would like to share, then please let us know. This theme discusses family and how the many traditions that we pass down make us who we are.
In Math Unit 2 is Addition and Subtraction strategies. The best way to help your child succeed is to practice math facts every night. Also- be sure to look over your child's math homework every night. If they are completing it incorrectly, then they are not practicing the skill. |
|
| This is an extremely important year for your child. The work becomes more challenging. Therefore, you may find your child needing more time to complete homework; this is to be expected. |
Mrs. Krach |
| This is my fourth year teaching at Middlesex Elementary and Baltimore County. I am excited to be working with some of the same children as last year and to meet some new friends. |
