Reading
Grade 3 & 4:
Wow the year is flying by and we are preparing for MSAs. We have been practicing using our skills for cold reads. A few of the skills we focus on include main idea, compare and contrast, details, and summarizing.

After the testing, we will finish out the year by continuing the reading program and enhancing our skills.

Math
Grade 3:

We are working on multiplication. It is a very new and different concept.Next will be the challenge of divsion.

Grade 4:

As the math gets harder, the multiplication becomes extremelt important. Every week the fourth grade is being tested on knowing their facts in a timely manner. In order for math is become easier, it needs to be automatic as possible. Automaticity only comes with repetition and practice.

Spelling
The spelling is getting more difficult as the year progresses. Please help your child study for their spelling test by having them write the words or spell the words out loud.
