I have been an art educator for the Baltimore County Public School System since 1990!
I truly enjoy the challenge of inspiring all my students to feel passionate about art as well encouraging them to take pride in their work and develop skills according to their own abilities. It is also very exciting to see them grow as artists from year to year!

School-wide Art Theme for 2008-2009 |

| I'm ready to teach some great multi-cultural art units this year! |

Each year as I teach students art concepts and new skills, I incorporate a school-wide art theme. This year's theme is "Around the World With Art".
Every grade level will participate in at least three units of study that focus on artwork based on a specific culture. They will create their own artwork based on what they learn about that culture, such as the African Tribal Mask Drawing pictured above.
The culmination of all this creative energy is the CVE Art Exhibit held in the early spring. The best part is that every student at CVE will have artwork on display for this event! Volunteers are encouraged to help out with this ambitious endeavor. We begin preparing for the event as early as January. |
