STEM Fair Overview

Each year Cromwell Valley participates in the Baltimore County STEM fair. Fourth and fifth grade GT students are required to complete a science fair project to meet the requirements of the BCPS GT Science Curriculum. However, all students are encouraged to participate in the school Science Fair. Students are taught the skills and processes that they will need to complete the science fair. Students are expected to use the scientific method to complete their project, a process that students should be very familiar with from class investigations. Science Fair information, including a detailed packet and a timeline of due dates will be sent home in late February. At the end of April, student projects will be judged and one representative from fourth grade and one represenative from fifth grade will be selected to enter their project into the annual county-wide science fair held in May.
