| Writing is Fun! |

The first quarter has ended and all the students have grown with their writing skills. The students finished writing their descriptive pieces on monsters. There are some very creative minds at work! They also have completed the grammar unit on sentences. Students will be working on nouns and verbs in the second quarter. The students will learn to write to persuade. This will be accomplished through several small writing assignments, and one larger essay.
All students are working on either spelling or Wordly Wise on a regular basis. Please help your child to develop his or her spelling/vocabulary skills by encouraging he or she to use the words in everyday conversations. |
