Gifted and Talented Education |
As the GT Catalyst Resource Teacher at Middlesex and Glenmar, my job is to create opportunities for enrichment for students in kindergarten through grade 5. I am the facilitator of the Referral and Review Team which looks at the documentation provided (teacher checklists, parent checklists, standardized test scores, grades, projects, and performance assessments) and recommends students for GT programs. I also serve as both Glenmar and Middlesex's GT Facilitator to the county. I am the Science Leader and coordinate Middlesex's STEM Fair and help Glenmar's science leader with their STEM Fair. I love to work with the all the staff, students, parents, and community members at both Middlesex and Glenmar!
I am the mother of four children who participate in GT programs in Baltimore County. I would like to pass these opportunities on to students at Middlesex and Glenmar; I am always searching for talents and gifts. This is my eighteenth year in education. I am working on my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Science. I love to read, to be with my family, and to go out with friends. I love to scrapbook. I grew up in the Essex Middle River area and graduated from Kenwood High School.
