Welcome to my website. My name is Jacquie Pencek and I am the School Social worker at Dundalk Elementary. School Social Workers are the link between home, school, and the community. As a School Social Worker I provide a variety of services to promote and support student success at school.
These services include:
-Individual, Group, and Family Counseling
-Crisis Prevention and Intervention
-Parent education and training
-Professional Case management
-Collaboration with other community agencies
-Staff development and Consultation
-Home visits
-Information and referrals to resources in the community
Mrs. Pencek helps
Students to:
-Improve academic success
-Develop appropriate social skills
-Learn ways to cope with feelings
-Improve anger management skills
-Build self-esteem and learn how to cope in crisis situations
Parents and Families by:
-Working with parents to advocate for their children
-Providing a safe place for parents to share concerns
-Educating parents about available community resources and how to access them
Support Teachers by:
-Providing consultation to implement behavior management strategies
-Offering a different perspective about how different facters affect academic success
-Identifying and Reporting Child abuse and neglect
