General Homework Tips

A homework sheet is placed in your child's Unicorn folder on the first day of each week. This sheet includes activities to do nightly with your child. Each night's activity should take between five and ten minutes to complete. Please be sure to have pencils, scissors, glue, and crayons at home for your child to use to complete the homework.

Reading should also be a part of your nightly routine with your child. Library books and the pre-decodable Open Court books are a great addition to the nightly homework.

Also, please do not forget about the Orems Elementary School planner. Try to spread this planner out over the course of the school year, completing up to three pages a week.

Thank you for all of your support at home!
