| Monthly Curriculum Overview |
There are many exciting things to be learned in second grade! The curriculum on this site will be updated monthly. The curriculum for the month of December is as follows:
Social Studies: Mrs. Kreider's class will be attending science class with Mrs. Halloran!
Math: We have started our unit on mental math. Students will be learning various strategies to solve problems mentally.
Reading: We are in our third theme called Nature Walk. We will be using the following strategies: question, evaluate, and summarize. We will also be learning about fact and opinion and classifying.
Language Arts: We will be using the Open Court curriculum for phonics. In written language, we will still be working on sentence structure and grammar. We will also be learning about command sentences and adjectives.
Science/Health: Mrs. Kreider's class has been attending science class with Mrs. Halloran.
