Building An All-Star Vocabulary
This year one of our school wide goals is to focus on vocabulary instruction. As a school, one of our lowest areas on MSA was vocabulary. In order to help reach this goal, our class will be focusing on a few new vocabulary words to accompany each story. Each child will have a vocabulary notebook that will contain the words they are working with, what they mean and examples of how they can be used. Parents will be asked to review these words with thier child and find other ways that they are used in everyday life. Making these connections between classroom instruction and real life will help all the students in our class to build an All-Star Vocabulary!
