Mr. Ken McKinney |
Hi ! I am Mr. McKinney. I am proud to be the fifth grade math teacher at Lutherville Laboratory School. This is my fourth year at LLS. We are located in the "Learning Cottage". I hold a BS and MS in education and have numerous credits in all kinds of other subjects including: accounting, art, writing, leadership, management, etc. I am a life long learner!
Before coming to Lutherville Laboratory School I worked in the pharmaceutical industry in sales and sales management. Now, I have returned to my first love: TEACHING. I went to college on a teacher pledge and promised to teach for two years. I loved it so much I stayed well beyond the two years, teaching third, fourth, and fifth grades.
I am married to a great lady and we have two super kids. My kids are older. My son is a college freshman and my daughter is a social worker. I love to travel, read, ski, garden and hike. This summer we traveled to Russia, Estonia, Germany, Swedan, Finland,and Denmark. Can you believe in that area of the world they have 20+ hours of daylight! That's a long day!
I am active in my community and volunteer in various capacities. I am thrilled to be at Lutherville Laboratory School. |
