Hi! My name is Lisa Geary, and I am the speech-language pathologist at Mars Estates Elementary School. This is my fifth year working for Baltimore County Public Schools, and my eleventh year as a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist. Previous experience includes various positions with a private rehabilitation company, a research associateship for The National Institutes of Health, and individual home-based therapy with private clients. My husband and I have four children -- ages 12, 10, 8, and 2½. I stay busy with my family, but in my free time I enjoy movies, photography, scrapbooking and being outdoors.
At Mars Estates, I provide individual and group therapy sessions for students with communication difficulties (articulation, language use & comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic/social skills.) I also work closely with classroom, special area teachers and other service providers (occupational therapist, social worker, resource personnel) to help students overcome their difficulties and find success.
