This is my second year at Johnnycake, and I am extremely excited to be here! We have some great programs in store for our Johnnycake students!
I received my Bachelor of Arts from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton VA and my Master of Science in Education at Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York. I have been working with children from various backgrounds; and complicated needs and I will continue to do so.
The Counseling Program at Johnnycake Elementary School fosters an environment for growing both academically and emotionally. We are building more responsible, respectful, safe and prepared students. In this website you will find ideas to help your child achieve their maximum potential. Through counseling, consultation and coordination of services we are here to assist not only the Gems within our building but our Gems at home as well.

I am no stranger to Johnnycake because I did my internship here for the 05-06 school year and it’s great to be back! I received my B.S. in Biology from Coppin State University and my M.Ed. in School Counseling from Loyola College in Maryland. I am very excited to work alongside our wonderful staff and parents as we encourage, inspire and support all of the Johnnycake students as they pursue both academic and personal success.
Through counseling, coordination and consultation, our goal is to serve all students through a combination of individual and group counseling services as well as classroom guidance lessons.
