Exploring Animals
We will start off the school year working on the unit, Exploring Animals. We will learn about living and non-living things. We will then learn about vertebrate (with a backbone) animals and invertebrate (without a backbone) animals. We will dicuss in detail the 5 vertebrate animal groups which are mammals, birds, fish, reptiles and amphibians. We will then learn about different land and water habitats.
At the end of this unit we will have a celebration when parents can come in to see the wonderful projects the children have completed in this unit. |

Exploring Forces
Another exciting science unit that we will work on this year is Exploring Forces. We will learn what is a force (a push or a pull). We will then learn about kinds of movement (back and forth, circular, zigzag, and start and stop)and different kinds of forces (gravity and vibration). |
