Welcome to Mrs. Foltz's Page!! Middlesex Elementary- A great school! MrRoom 23 mfoltz@bcps.org Hi Parents and Students! My position is Resource Teacher. I teach GT reading to 4th and 5th graders! I also teach 4th and 5th grade math. I am located in room 23. This room is also the Science Lab, open to all students. In the Science Lab, our school has sophistocated microscopes, wireless laptops, balance beams and many science tools. The 4th and 5th grade students who have been identified as needing an accelerated program of study come to my room in the morning for reading and writing. My schedule for these students is as follows: 9:10-10:10 Reading 5th Grade GT 10:10-11:45 Reading and Language 4th Grade GT 12:25-1:20 5th Grade Math 1:20-2:20 4th Grade Math I will send home an interim each term for all students to let you know how your child is faring academically in these classes. Please sign your child's planner each night. This will indicate that you have reviewed homework and have seen any correspondence from me. Additionally, our class will publish a monthly newsletter which will inform everyone of the current units of study and provide information regarding plans and deadlines for various scheduled activities. We are always looking for parent volunteers in the classroom. Look for an interest survey I will be sending home during the first week of school. I will make every effort to find a position or job within our room which will use your abilities and interests to their fullest! Please feel free to suggest a capacity which you might fill.
