Ms. Martha E. Milli, NCC Professional School Counselor * The Elementary School Counseling Program is considered an essential part of the total school program. Middlesex's program is a comprehensive one that addresses all students academic, personal/social and career development/decision making needs. It provides education, prevention and intervention services that are designed to remove barriers to learning which in return promotes academic achievement.
* I conduct class lessons, counsel individuals on a short term basis, work with small groups, coordinate a variety of programs and consult with parents, teachers and other professionals.
* Classroom guidance lessons are conducted that teach children to set goals, make decisions, problem solve and resolve conflicts. These sessions provide developmentally appropriate lessons in substance abuse education, personal safety, bully prevention, getting along with others, friendship skills, understanding oneself and others, multicultural awareness, etc..
* Parents, teachers, administrators, and other school staff may request that their child work with me. In addition, students may sign up to see me.
* Currently, I am a National Certified Counselor. I have a Master's Degree in School Counseling from Loyola College. In addition, I have a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Towson University.
