What's Happening in Room 1?
The first graders in our room will do a wonderful job on the morning announcements next week. I can't wait to see our anchors and behind the scenes crew in action. We are learning many new things during this third quarter including long vowel sounds, reading strategies, and new science and social studies concepts. We are currently in Theme 7 of our reading series. It is called We Can Work It Out! and contains stories focusing on main idea, sequencing, and comparing and contrasting. We have also begun Unit 7 in math which concentrates on place value and graphing. |
