In first grade we will be using the Open Court phonics program. This program covers letter sounds, blending, rules, segmentation, as well as other topics. There are also individual books that will be read that go along with the program. During the year we will have various dictation assignments where the students will be expected to write down the words or sentences that are read aloud.
