Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Shannon Smith and I have just started my 12th year here at Middlesex.
We are in the third quarter of school! We currently have two reading groups; one group working on learning letter sounds and the other group working on learning word families. In Math, we have begun the unit on measuring and counting. In Shared Reading, we will read the stories The Jacket I Wear in the Snow, The Stormy Night and To Town. We will also learn about the presidents.
Please continue to work with your child on sight words. Words will continue to come home on labels so that you can add them to their books. Thanks for your support!
