Algebraic Thinking Foundations is the first stage in this three stage program (sixth grade through eighth grade). Students have their own books which they work in daily to build upon skills necessary to become a successful math student. They will also learn and master the S.O.L.V.E. strategy for problem-solving which they can apply to BCR's during MSA. They work with manipulatives and create many of their own tools such as fraction kits and flip-books. After successful completion of the Foundations program students graduate to the Algebraic Thinking program for seventh-grade. |
