Film Appreciation
|
During the month of October, students will view a series of horror and suspense movies beginning with Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds." We will see several other Hitchcock-directed films.
Students are expected to complete written classwork every day. In addition, they are expected to spend class time viewing the featured film, and not engaged in other activities. |

English 11 students
Students are now working on a formal speech modeled after Patrick Henry's "Speech to the Virginia Convention." Once students have completed a draft of their speech as homework, they are working to include the rhetorical elements required for the final draft.
Honors classes will deliver the completed speech as a speech in class beginning the week of 10/8.
Standard classes will turn in the speech the week of 10/8 as well. |
