3rd Quarter |
During the 3rd quarter, we will be continuing with keyboards and start recorder karate. We will start to focus on harmony and complex rhythms, as well as perfecting our performance techniques.

Objective: SWBAT perform simple patterns of the C scale on keyboards in order to review note reading skills.
Drill: On a staff, write out the C scale starting with middle C.
2/22-2/23
Objective: SWBAT perform a poly-rhythmic duet with a partner on keyboards
Drill: What is a duet? What is a trio? What is a quartet?
2/26-2/27
Objective: SWBAT perform for the class on keyboards and start MUSIC ACE lesson #1.
Drill: Why is a steady tempo REALLY important when playing a duet or with a group? Explain.
2/28
Objective: SWBAT begin Recorder unit.
Drill: 1. Write down three rules that everyone should remember about how to use recorders in class. |
