| In 8th Grade American music, you will study music throughout American history, starting with Native American music. You will use recorders, keyboards, drums, and guitars to focus on musicianship skills like note reading, performing, and ear training. Located below are the drills. |

2/19-2/20 Objective: SWBAT continue research in the computer lab for their 3rd quarter music projects. Drill: 1. Have you found any similarities between the music your parents enjoyed when they were your age and the music you enjoy today? What are they? 2/21-2/22 Objective: SWBAT type and print their interview while in the computer lab. Drill: Name 2 different ways you can type an interview?
2/23-2/26 Obj: SWBAT finish part B of the Entertainer and play with the CD using a steady tempo. Drill: Why is it difficult to play an accompaniment? What can you do if you lose your place in the music?
2/27-2/28 Obj: SWBAT continue work on the Entertainer or project, as well as begin MUSIC ACE lessons on the computer. Drill: No Drill |
