Honors Chorus 2008 Calendar of Events
The All-County Honors Chorus of Baltimore County is a great opportunity to shine in vocal music. It is a performing group created from all the middle schools in Baltimore County. 7th and 8th grade students in chorus can audition to be part of this group in November at Dumbarton Middle School.
Mr. Roy works with students to prepare for their audition on Tuesdays in the month of October.
The Honors Chorus performs before a packed auditorium and is televised on the education channel.
What do I do when I audition?1. Vocalise - Warm-up and find range (usually on an "oo" vowel)
2. Sing the opening lines of "O Music" (acapella, from memory)
3. Tonal Memory - Sing back short melodies played on the piano
4. Sight Reading - Sight-sing two different four measure lines.
