Who am I?
Mrs. Erika Kolstrom-Dillard
I have been teaching at Dundalk High for the past ten years. In addition to teaching English 12, I also teach Yearbook. In the past, I have taught Reading, English 9, 10, 11, & 12, Creative Writing, SAT, Journalism, and Study Skills. I have also taught night school and summer school. I have to admit English 12 is a favorite of mine, though. I have even home schooled several students at a church in Turner's Station. Currently, I sponsor the Yearbook. In the past, I have sponsored the Academic Club, SGA, and the literary magazine. I also was the proud sponsor of the Class of 2005 and the class of 2008 in their senior year. I participate every year in the Adopt-a-family programs for Christmas, and Easter. Dundalk High adopts several low income families and we collect money, toys, and food for the families. Teachers and students in the building help me, so we can make someone’s holiday season brighter.
As a student, I have attended various schools in the state of Maryland. I attended Sparrows Point Middle and High Schools. (Yes, I know that is one of Dundalk’s rival schools, but I am a Dundalk girl at heart.) Then, I attended Dundalk Community College where I received my Associate of Arts degree in Arts & Sciences. After attending D.C.C., I attended Towson University where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education. I also have a minor in Art. This year I finished attending Goucher College where I received my Master’s degree.
I was nominated by the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce 2007-2008 as teacher of the year for Dundalk High School.

I am married and I have a son named Christian who is 4 years old. We have a nutty beagle named Zoe.
