Welcome Parents and Students to the 2008-2009 School year. I am very excited about this school year and am looking forward to working with you this year. This is my fourth year here at PHMS.
As a World Cultures teacher, I believe that all of my students are able to learn and grow in a safe, comfortable, creative, and collaborative environment. As a collaborative unit, students can explore unfamiliar cultures to develop a framework of a foreign world. I believe that students can use this framework to lead by example with an open mind to the differences of others.
A little about myself. I love teaching here so much that I commute from Pennsylvania every day! I graduated from Towson University in 2005 and have taught here at Perry Hall since. My hobbies include playing golf, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, basketball, and watching NASCAR (Tony Stewart is my favorite driver). My favorite sports teams incluede the Ravens, Orioles, Maryland (football and basketball), and Penn State (football). Other sports teams I like include anyone who beats the Yankees or the Steelers. I am also one of the advisors for Perry Hall Middle School's Drama department. I will be posting information such as practice schedules, props lists, costume, and ticket information on the Drama page. Please use this site to help you reference different material being covered in class. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me at any time by calling the school or using the email link above! |

To have a sucessful year in World Cultures it is important to follow four simple rules. These rules are necessary in order to create a safe, creative, and comfortable learning environment.
(1) Be in class on time
(2) Keep hands, feet, and belongings to yourself
(3) Follow directions the first time given
(4) Respect others
