| November - US Navy Band Concert - 8th Grade Band |

Each fall the eighth grade band and orchestra attend a free concert given by the United States Navy Band. Formed in 1925 the US Navy band is made up of some of our Nations finest musicians.
The cost of the trip covers the transportation to and from the concert. Students will need to bring money for lunch and return to school before the conclusion of the school day. Students are expected to wear nice clothing and display proper concert etiquette. |
| Fall – Eighth Grade Band with HHS Pep Band |

The HHS instrumental music teachers have invited the HMS eighth grade band to join the Pep Band at the Hereford Stadium to help support our Hereford Bulls against the Kenwood High School Bluebirds. The Pep Band sits in the center bleachers for all the home football games. The Pep Band plays music at the timeouts and between quarters to pump up the home crowd. This optional performance is a wonderful opportunity for the students to work with the HHS band students and music department. For this event you will need:
-Your Instrument
-A Lyre for Your Instrument
-HHS Colored Clothing (Dress for the Weather)
