Psych Teacher Central
Welcome to Psych Teacher Central! This is only a small step in bringing together Maryland's psychology teachers and pooling our resources. Psychology is perhaps the most dynamic subject in high school, the concepts are fascinating and easily applied to real life everyday situations. And because there are so many wonderfully engaging activities students have been enrolling in ever growing numbers in psychology courses. This website is an initial attempt to allow the psychology teachers of Maryland to pool their ideas, activities and resources. Psychology teachers are often left to fend for themselves in a Social Studies department, while most of the curriculum is science oriented. We become a department of one. Not any more, because united we stand. This site will bring you updated information and resources on a monthly bases. Additionally, by e-mailing John Billingslea at jbillingslea@bcps.org your name will be added to an e-mail list so you'll recieve monthly updates and have access to several veteran psych teachers willing to answer questions and share their resources. You are invited to submit questions, provide useful websites and resources, and share classroom activities. You're not alone anymore:)
