| Awards Ceremony |
Each season the athletic director will schedule and Awards Ceremony to present certificates, letters and spirit awards. The Ceremony is a time for reflection on the season and team and individual accomplishments.
Awards Eligibility: AWARDS- To be eligible for a post season award, a student must:
1) Finish the season in good standing with his/her team
a. Good standing means to remain academically eligible the entire season and fulfill all team related obligations.
2) Attend and participate in practice and games every day throughout the season based on the attendance policy
3) Cannot have any pending obligation to the school or team
a.Most uniforms and equipment are assigned to student athletes strictly on a loan basis for the duration of the sport season. It is the responsibility of the student athlete to maintain that equipment and or uniform in the same condition in which it was received.
b.Any damage or loss of equipment/uniform will be considered the direct financial responsibility of the athlete responsible for its care.
TYPES OF AWARDS – these are program wide and shall be the most prestigious awards handed out at the awards ceremony. Academic
i.Baltimore County Varsity/JV All Academic – 3.00 GPA
ii.Varsity “MD Minds in Motion” – 3.25 GPA
b.Athletic Team
i.Certificate
ii.Letter, Pin
c.Athletic Individual
i.Most Improved
ii.Unsung Hero
iii.Green & Gold (player who exhibited the most “hustle” on the team)
iv. Coach’s Award (similar to a “Most Valuable Player” award)
