Welcome to the world of languages at Perry Hall Middle School! Bonjour! This year I will be teaching the French 2 program which is the completer course to the seventh grade French I curriculum. We will be using a new textbook, Discovering French, Blanc! and complete chapters 1-6 in eighth grade. My eighth grade students will be finishing up the level 2 curriculum this year and preparing for the Level 2 county-wide high school credit exam that they will take in June. If they successfully pass this exam and the course they will go onto high school with 2 high school world language credits aready earned toward graduation and be placed in a French 3 honors class in ninth grade.
I will also be serving as the World Languages Department Chairperson. We now have grown to 4 Spanish teachers, 2 French teachers and two Chinese teachers. I will also be serving as the 8th Grade Level Coordinator here at Perry Hall Middle School. I will be attending all PTSA executive board meetings and representing the interests of our 8th grade students and teachers at those monthly meetings.
