When students returned from Winter Break, they were welcomed by a student teacher in the classroom.
Mr. Ilao is a graduate student from Loyola College. He is currently working toward his Maryland Teaching Certificate in secondary sciences. Mr. Ilao graduated with a B. S. in Inter-Disciplinary Biochemistry at Loyola College.
On a personal note, Mr. Ilao is honored to work with this year's Class of 2009 in helping them become his fellow alumni of Franklin Middle School! |

Grade 8 Science

| Students will demonstrate the thinking and acting inherent in the practice of science. The skills and processes include scientific inquiry, critical thinking, applications of science and use of technology. Students will study the weather, chemistry, motion and the Chesapeake Bay. |
