Laboratory

Lab is an important part of every science class. Science is about curiosity and learning how things work, this cannot be done without hands-on experience. To make the classroom safe for everyone lab safety is essential and taken very seriously.

Laboratory Safety
  1. Never horse around.
  2. Do not use equipment or materials until you have received instruction in their proper use.
  3. Never conduct experiments that have not been assigned or approved by your instructor.
  4. Do not bring food or drink into the laboratory.
  5. Never taste, eat, or smell anything in the laboratory.
  6. Injuries, however minor, must be reported to your instructor.
  7. Tie back long hair and do not wear loose clothing.
  8. Wear safety goggles, laboratory aprons, and gloves when instructed to do so.
  9. Read and follow all instructions carefully.(Complete pre-lab prior to experiment)

NOTE:
A detailed lab safety contract was read in class and sent home with your student. Both the student and guardian signed this contract prior to the student be admitting into lab. If you have any questions about the safety contract please contact me.
