| Lab is an important part of every science class. Science is about curiosity and learning how things work, this cannot be done without hands-on experience. To make the classroom safe for everyone lab safety is essential and taken very seriously. |
Laboratory Safety |
- Never horse around.
- Do not use equipment or materials until you have received instruction in their proper use.
- Never conduct experiments that have not been assigned or approved by your instructor.
- Do not bring food or drink into the laboratory.
- Never taste, eat, or smell anything in the laboratory.
- Injuries, however minor, must be reported to your instructor.
- Tie back long hair and do not wear loose clothing.
- Wear safety goggles, laboratory aprons, and gloves when instructed to do so.
- Read and follow all instructions carefully.(Complete pre-lab prior to experiment)
