Classroom Policies

Classroom Policies are an important part of every learning environment. Students have agreed to the following expectations and are aware of what is expected of them.
Class Expectations
  • RESPECT, both to myself and all other members of the class.
  • Arrive to class on time every day; late arrivals must have a pass.
  • Come to class prepared each day with your own materials: pens, pencils, paper, binder/folder and calculator.
  • Appropriate behaviors are expected during any activity
  • Food and drinks will not be allowed inside of the classroom. (This includes gum.)
  • Be seated quietly at your desk 5 minutes before the bell rings so I can make any last minute announcements. Remain in your seats until you are dismissed by me.

    • ***Failure to meet class expectations will result in loss of class participation points!

    Participation/Classwork - 50%
    Homework - 15%
    Tests/Quizzes - 35%
    Absences
    Students may FAIL classwork with 9 EXCUSED absences or 5 UNEXCUSED absences. Students with excused absences are responsible for missed work. Assignments must be completed within three days of an excused absence or they will not be accepted. For further clarification please contact me.
    Extra Help
    I am available after school on Thursdays from 2:30-3:00. Otherwise students need to make prior arrangements for staying after. Please feel free to come in and see me for any questions and/or concerns you may have.
