The 8th grade is an exciting year for students. High School is right around the corner! The registration process can seem overwhelming but we will be with you and your student every step of the way. Magnet Program
By now, all 8th grade students have received an application and brochure for the BCPS high school magnet program. If you would like additional copies, please visit the Office of Magnet Program’s website at www.bcps.org/offices/omp. Open house events and information fairs will be held throughout the county during the month of October.
The open house dates for our local magnet schools are as follows:
October 14 Parkville Center for Mathematics, Science & Computer Science
19 Carver Center for Arts & Technology
21 Towson High Law & Public Policy Program
23 Kenwood International Baccalaureate & Sports Science Academy
All applications will be due by November 26th. If you have additional questions about the magnet school application process, please call the Office of Magnet Programs at 410-887-4127 or the eighth grade counselors (Mrs. Oates & Mrs. Shields) at 410-887-7905. Thank you!
