Topics Taught in Current Unit (Unit C: Number Theory)

Factors, Multiples, and Divisibility; Prime Factorization; Greatest Common Factor; Equivalent Fractions; Fractions in Simplest Form; Fractions and Division;Fractions and Decimals; Improper Fractions and Mixed Numbers; Decimal Forms of Fractions and Mixed Numbers.

These topics are covered in Lessons 5-1 to 5-6 and 6-1 to 6-4 in the textbook.

In class, students created a 100s chart. It will be used throughout the year, starting in Unit C, to help with the following topics:
Divisibility Rules, Identifying Prime & Composite Numbers, Prime Factorization,
Greatest Common Factor, Simplifying Fractions, Least Common Multiple, Adding/Subtracting Fractions
