Homework!

Welcome to 7th Grade Language Arts! You will learn in my class how to identify and apply grammar; improve your writing; analyze and write poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and drama; "The Preposition Song"; and much, much more! For this, however, you will need to be prepared every day with an open mind, positive attitude, and the following supplies!

Supplies
1 marble notebook - No spiral notebooks please! This will be your journal for the year.
3x5 Index Card box with Index Cards and Alphabet Dividers- We will be using these to keep track of our vocabulary words. You can create your own Alphabet Dividers using index cards and flag post it notes.
1 package of college ruled looseleaf - This will be kept in the classroom for everyone to use.
1 package of pencils - This will be kept in the classroom for everyone to use.
1 box of tissues - This will be kept in the classroom for everyone to use.
1 package of sticky notes - Any type of post-it or other brand of sticky notes will do since they will serve a variety of uses. Once again, these will be kept in the classroom for everyone to use.
1 binder or binder section - If you prefer to keep notebooks and folders that will work just as well, too. Please make sure that you have a tidy language arts section this year.

These are basic supplies that every student will need and use throughout the year. I hope to keep a supply of them in my classroom on the highly unlikely occasion that any of my very responsible and diligent students will forget or run out of them. I may add more supplies to this list as we approach the beginning of the school year so keep checking back!
