The Course: Grade 8 American History presents a chronological, narrative survey of the history of the United States from prehistoric America to 1877. The program is designed to encourage identification with the American people, their aspirations, their ideals, and their experiences at various points in time in our country’s history.

The Teacher: A native Baltimorean, Mr. Letra has been teaching in Baltimore County Public Schools since 1989. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, Mr. Letra received his teaching certification at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. A resident of the Hereford Zone, Mr. Letra has been at Hereford since 1999.
